Between the immense and the overly over, in the big empty void to fill, one can lose control.
RAGE, it’s almost a love story.
It’s almost a hate story.
It’s almost a true story.
It’s almost someone.

A woman.

RAGE, it’s when an existence tosses itself clumsily to try to live.
RAGE, it’s searching too much, too far.
It’s wanting too much, too hard.
In a world where everything must be excessive, where extreme is raised to the level of exploit, what about us?
Really.

A creation combining theatre gesture, dance and manipulation, Rage explores the human distress that indwells us through self-perception and the need of others; through the immense doubt which animates us and the intensity that we are capable of, and that sometimes are overrun by; through what we are and what we want to be. Let’s try to be.

“Simplicity and efficiency. If it’s in the ingenuity of details that recognizes the strength of a theatrical work, RAGE, from Vicky Côté, got everything to hit. […] Côté leverages different languages-that of theater, of course, but also those shadows, performance art and contemporary dance, particularly effective. […] A rare presence in the staging – in addition impeccable.”
– Jean-François Caron, Journal VOIR, 14 mai 2009

“Vicky Côté show the distress, without words. […] This is not the least of its merits have demonstrated so eloquently.”
